# Supernote

> Read your library on a Supernote Manta or Nomad, and send your handwritten notes back to ReadMeliora.

With the ReadMeliora plugin, your articles sync to a Supernote Manta or Nomad as PDFs sized for its screen. You can read them offline, and your highlights, reading progress, and read state sync back. You can also send handwritten notes from the Supernote into your library.

## Pair your Supernote

**1. Install the plugin**

On your Supernote, open **InkHub**, find **ReadMeliora Supernote Plugin**, and install it.

**2. Get a pairing code**

In ReadMeliora, open Settings, then **Devices**. Choose **Get a pairing code**. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes.

**3. Enter the code on the Supernote**

Open any note or document and choose **ReadMeliora Library** in the toolbar. Type the code and choose **Pair this Supernote**.

Your Supernote then shows under **Paired devices** on the Devices page, with its model and when it last synced. Choose **Rename** to change its name, or **Remove** to unpair it.

## What syncs to the Supernote

In the plugin's Settings, the **Sync Rule** chooses which articles belong on the Supernote: your Inbox, some of your labels, or both. You can also cap how many articles and how much space they use.

The articles land in the `Document/ReadMeliora` folder. Open one from **ReadMeliora Library** or from the Supernote's own file browser.

The plugin syncs when you open it. The Supernote can't sync in the background. Choose **Sync now** to sync straight away.

Under **Typography** you can set the font (Serif, Sans serif, or Mono), the font size, line height, and margins. Tables come across as proper grids.

## Highlights on the Supernote

Select text in an article, then tap the ReadMeliora highlighter in the selection toolbar. Add a note if you like and choose **Save note**. The highlight shows up in the right place in the article in ReadMeliora.

## Send a note to ReadMeliora

You can send a handwritten note into your library. It arrives in your Inbox as a PDF with the label **Supernote Import**.

**1. Open Send a note**

In a note, choose **Export to ReadMeliora** in the toolbar. It opens on the page you're on. Or choose **Send a note** in the plugin's Library and pick a note.

**2. Choose the pages**

Choose **All pages**, a **Page range**, or **One page**, and type the page numbers.

**3. Send it**

Choose **Send to ReadMeliora**. If you're offline, the note shows under **Waiting to send** and goes at the next sync. Choose **Send now** there to try again straight away.

Your handwriting is recognised on the Supernote and kept as hidden text in the PDF. That means search finds words in your notes, and search results label those matches **Handwriting**. Listen is off for handwritten notes.

If you send a note you sent before, the plugin asks whether to **Update** the copy in ReadMeliora or make a **New** one. Update keeps its highlights, labels, and read state.

### Send part of a page

Circle some handwriting with the lasso, then choose **Send to ReadMeliora** in the lasso toolbar. In the plugin's Settings, **Send lasso clips as** chooses whether a clip arrives as a highlight or as a one-page article.

### Send an exported PDF

Export a note with the Supernote's own Export, then choose **Send an exported PDF** in Send a note. The PDF arrives as it is, with the Supernote Import label. Exported PDFs can be up to 20 MB.

### Sent notes on your other devices

In the plugin's Sync Rule, **Download sent notes to this Supernote** chooses whether notes sent from a Supernote sync back down: **None**, **From my other devices**, or **All**. It starts on From my other devices, so you don't get a second copy of a note on the Supernote you sent it from.
