# Keyboard shortcuts

> Move through a list and the reader from the keyboard.

Press `?` to open the shortcut list in the app. The same keys are listed below.

## Library

These keys work in Inbox, Library, and Archive.

| Key       | Action                                |
| --------- | ------------------------------------- |
| `j` / `k` | Move through the list                 |
| `Enter`   | Open the highlighted article          |
| `e`       | Archive, or move back to the library  |
| `m`       | Mark read or unread                   |
| `x`       | Select for bulk actions               |
| `/`       | Search                                |
| `Escape`  | Clear the highlight and the selection |

## Reader

| Key       | Action                               |
| --------- | ------------------------------------ |
| `e`       | Archive, or move back to the library |
| `m`       | Mark read or unread                  |
| `[` / `]` | Previous or next article             |
| `Space`   | Focus                                |
| `Shift+H` | Capture a region as a highlight      |
| `Escape`  | Leave focus or close a panel         |

`j` and `k` move a cursor in the list. Enter opens that article. Escape clears the cursor and any selection.
