# Quickstart

> Create an account and save your first article.

Save one article, then open it in the reader. You need an email address and a web browser.

  <Step title="Create an account">
    Open [readmeliora.com](https://readmeliora.com) and choose Get started. Enter your email and a password of at least 12 characters.

    ReadMeliora sends a confirmation link. Open that link, then log in. You land in Inbox.

  <Step title="Save a link">
    Choose **Save a URL** in the sidebar. Paste the address. A title and a note are optional. Choose Save.

    The article opens in the reader. It stays in Inbox until you mark it read.

  <Step title="Read it">
    Scroll the article. Choose **Focus** when you want the column alone. Choose **Aa** to change the type.

    When you are finished, choose Mark read. The article leaves Inbox and stays in Library.
