# Several articles at once

> Select articles and archive, label, mark read, or delete them together.

In Inbox, Library, or Archive, select the articles you want to change.

* Choose the checkbox on a row, or press `x` while that row is highlighted.
* Choose the checkbox beside the list title to select every article currently shown.

The bar above the list shows how many are selected.

## What you can do

* Archive, or Move to library, depending on which list you are in.
* Mark read, or Mark unread if every selected article is already read.
* Add a label from the Add label menu. The menu lists labels you already have.
* Delete the selection.
* Clear the selection without changing the articles.

  Delete removes the selected articles. Highlights from a deleted article stay on the Highlights page, marked as coming from a deleted article.

Press Escape to clear the cursor and the selection when you are not typing in a field.
