# Create an account

> Create an account, log in, reset your password, and log out.

You need an account before you can save anything. ReadMeliora is free while it is in beta.

## Create an account

Open [readmeliora.com](https://readmeliora.com) and choose Get started.

    Use a password of at least 12 characters.

    Choose Create account. Creating an account means you agree to the [Terms of Service](https://readmeliora.com/terms) and the [Privacy Policy](https://readmeliora.com/privacy).

  <Step title="Confirm your email">
    Open the confirmation link ReadMeliora sends you, then log in.

## Log in

Choose Log in and enter the same email and password.

## Reset your password

On the log in page, choose Forgot password and enter your email. If an account exists for that address, ReadMeliora sends a reset link. Open the link and choose a new password of at least 12 characters.

## Log out

Open Profile at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Log out. You can also open Settings, then Account, and log out there.

ReadMeliora asks you to confirm. You can sign in again with the same email.
